Yatz is a 6y/o GSP. He is 68lbs, neutered, house trained, loves kids, other dogs and cats. Yatz was a hunting dog for 5.5 years and sustained a leg injury. He was going to be euthanized bc he can no longer hunt. After examination and xrays it was determined to be arthritis. He gets around wonderfully. He finally plays with toys, the kids and dogs in his foster home. He's never known companionship while being a working dog, nor has he known toys or treats. Yatz is on a super supplement that is allowing his leg to heal and rebuild cartilage and muscle, it will be needed for life. He is on lifetime eye drops for chronic dry eye in both eyes. He will need a fenced yard bc he will run since he is used to working. He is learning leash manners; he pulls on the leash as of now. Yatz is calm and quiet though will howl when he needs to potty or at times when it seems he is missing someone. He needs a lot of time and patience to acclimate. Yatz chooses to spend time alone at first to understand his new surroundings. He doesn't act out but he is learning to be an inside pet that is physically loved and adored. He is a very special dog and will need the absolute most perfect home for him to live. He is very healthy otherwise, he is microchipped, well behaved and loving. He is not a working dog any longer, he is to be an inside, loved pet. This dog will steal your heart. he is very stunning. He is being fostered in Fenton, Mo. His adoption fee is $200.
